Executive Summary
The Mulvane Recreation Commission conducted a community-wide survey in 2024, receiving responses from 238 community members. This survey has provided valuable insights into how our community uses and values our recreation services.
Our findings show that MRC plays a vital role in our community, receiving an importance rating of 4.3 out of 5 from respondents. The survey revealed that 78% of respondents either hold memberships or participate in our programs, with particularly strong engagement from families with children ages 0-12 and adults ages 25-54.
Community members expressed high satisfaction with our pricing structure, with 69% finding our services affordable or reasonably priced. Youth sports programs and special events emerged as our most popular offerings, showing the community's strong interest in family-oriented programming.
Areas identified for enhancement include extended facility hours, improved communication channels, and enhanced program variety. Community members showed particular interest in expanded fitness options and additional special events.
In response to this feedback, MRC is developing initiatives focused on:

We will implement these improvements while maintaining our commitment to affordable, quality recreation services for Mulvane residents. Updates on our progress will be shared regularly through our website, social media, and email newsletters.
